About Wild Sherborne

Wild Sherborne was launched at the end of 2025 to bring as much wildlife into our town as possible.

Living alongside the natural world is good for them and good for us. We have allowed ourselves to slip into a world where the dawn chorus of birdsong is now a faint echo of what it used to be, where running through meadows knee high with wild flowers has become a distant memory, and where hearing a cuckoo every spring was guaranteed.
Turning back the clock is not impossible. By acting as if we all occupy a small corner of a large urban nature reserve we can encourage more mammals, birds, insects, amphibians, plants and fungi to make their homes alongside us, free from the pollution, pesticides and loss of habitat which they face in the wider countryside.
Our ambition is to help you to help us achieve that goal.
Explore our website to see the initiatives which have already started to turn Sherborne into a new Wild West, and sign up below to get involved.
